Responsibilities:
- Reviewing raw footage and selecting the best shots to create a cohesive narrative.
- Trimming and rearranging film segments to ensure seamless transitions and logical sequencing.
- Enhancing video quality by adjusting colors, brightness, contrast, and other visual elements.
- Applying special effects, graphics, and animations to enhance the visual aesthetics of the video.
- Syncing audio tracks and sound effects with video footage to create a balanced and immersive experience.
- Collaborating with the creative team to develop and execute a visual style that aligns with the project's requirements.
- Incorporating feedback from clients, directors, or producers and making necessary changes to the final video.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest video editing techniques, software, and trends to maintain technical proficiency.
- Ensuring project files are well-organized and properly archived for future use.
- Meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
In addition to technical skills and knowledge of video editing software (such as Adobe
Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer), a video editor should also possess
strong creative and storytelling abilities. They must have a keen eye for visual composition,
pacing, and timing. Moreover, good communication and collaboration skills are essential to
work effectively with the production team and understand their creative vision.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• 2-5 years of proven experience as a Video Editor, preferably in web development or digital marketing agencies.
• Portfolio showcasing a strong editing skills.
